Fred C. Caesar, 75, of Memphis, retired Memphis police officer after 31 years, died of cancer on Saturday, April 15, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.

Mass was said at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, where he was a communicant; burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Forest Hill Funeral Home East had charge.

Mr. Caesar was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society and a World War II and Korean War Marine veteran. He was the husband of Frankie Caesar for 36 years. He also left his stepmother, Faye Caesar of Memphis; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Wright and Carol Caesar, both of Memphis, and Patricia Cooper of Bartlett; two sons, Michael Bruno of Bartlett and Jim Caesar of Memphis; a sister, Mary Yencopol of Memphis; four brothers, David Caesar and Patrick Caesar, both of Memphis, Joseph Caesar of Philadelphia and Frank Caesar of El Paso, TX. and nine grandchildren.
