Mrs. Pearl L. Marchbank, 83, wife of Alex Marchbank of 418 Jones street, died Wednesday morning in St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing. She was born October 5,
1881 in Kewadin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Parrish, and was married at
Harbor Springs, June 10, 1903 to Alex Marchbank. They celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary at an open house two years ago.

Mrs. Marchbank was active in church work and was a member of First Christian
church. She was also a member of Rebekah lodge, Past Noble Grand club, Blue
Star Mothers Service club and Women's Christian Temperance Union.

Surviving are her husband, Alex; one son, Kenneth Marchbank of Lansing; two
daughters, Mrs. Marguerite McGowan of Lansing and Mrs. Richard Grescowle of
Dimondale; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Fals of Wilmington, Calif., and Mrs. Rose
Smith of Jackson; for grand and 11 great-grandchildren.

The body will be at Boynton funeral home until Saturday noon when it will be
taken to First Christian church for service at 2 p.m. The Rev. James W. Kendall
will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.

Funeral service was Saturday at First Christian church at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Pearl
L. Marchbank, 83, of 418 Jones street, who died Wednesday at a Lansing hospital.
The Rev. James W. Kendall officiated and interment was at Highland Park
cemetery. Bearers were Gerald Karman, Howard Sprague, Lloyd Snyder, Everett
Hotchkiss, Gerald Johnston and Bernard Sible.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Marchbank, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack McGowan, Mrs. Marguerite McGowan and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grescowle, Jr.,
of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Albert French, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Grinnell, Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Smith and Mrs. Julius Miller of Jackson; Mr. and Mrs. DeForest
Marchbank of Middleville, Mr. and Mrs. John Marchbank of Mancelona, Chris
Marchbank of Three Rivers, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rockwell of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs.
Colin Reed of Albion, Lorne Marchbank of Pellston, Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Grescowle of Dimondale, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wangeman of East Moline, Ill.
