David Lee Burkett, age 47, of Vaiden is survived by his parents, Wayne and Betty Burkett of Vaiden; daughter, Kimberly Leigh Burkett of Ridgeland; son, David Blake Burkett of Vaiden; brothers, Ronald Wayne Burkett of French Camp and Jeffrey Bernard Burkett of Lumberton, NC.

VAIDEN - Services for David Lee Burkett, 47, of Vaiden, who died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Mississippi 35 near Kosciusko, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.

Mr. Burkett was the manager of Mims Shell Station in Vaiden. He was a member of Woodmen of the World in Kosciusko.

He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Leigh Burkett of Ridgeland; a son, David Blake Burkett of Vaiden; his parents, Wayne and Betty Burkett of Vaiden; and two brothers, Ronald Wayne Burkett of French Camp and Jeffrey Bernard Burkett of Lumberton, N.C.

The Rev. Leon Holly will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Vaiden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Vaiden Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.
