and Mrs. Wilda Nichols, the latter of
Marcellus, left early this morning on
a motor trip to Shelby, Michigan, where
they will attend the funeral of
T. J. Colvin, a brother of
S. W. [Samuel Weaver] Colvin,
passed away Sunday morning at his home
in Shelby, where he has spent the past
45 or 50 years. He was born about 82
years ago on the Colvin homestead on the
Berrien - Buchanan road near Buchanan.
The wife, Mrs. Fern [Pern] Colvin, and
two children survive. The children are
Mrs. Minnie Savage of Shelby, and
Austin W. Colvin of Grand Rapids.
Mr. Colvin and his son enjoyed a
motor trip through Berrien County
last fall, visiting many local
relatives before returning to Shelby.
