James C. Mulherin, a well known and highly esteemed resident of this city, died at his home, 487 East Norhtampton street, yesterday morning at 6 o'clock, after a three days' illness of double pneumonia. He was aged 67, He had resided in this city for the past thirty-five years and was well and favorably known. He is survived by the following children: John, Katherine, a teacher, both at home; Mrs. James F. Boran, Francis, Thomas, James and Daniel, all located at Jersey City; also by one brother, John, of Pittsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Daley of ESt. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Matthew McCann of New Boston. He was a member of Division 1, A.O.H.

MULHERIN OBSEQUIES
A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the funeral of James C.Mulhern yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock from the late residence on the corner of Empire and Northampton streets. The remains were taken to St. Mary's Church where a solemn high mass of requiem was [c]elebrated by Father O'Malley. Rev. Father Hefferan was deacon and Rev. Father Lynott acted as sub-deacon. The benediction and eulogy were also delivered by Rev. Father O'Malley. There were many floral offerings. The pall bearers were Edward Durkin, Patrick Kennedy, Martin Coxe, Cornelius Mack. P. F. Kelly and Hugh Tracy. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Hanover.
