Lewis Golightly Jr., 92, a retired mechanic and owner of a neighborhood garage in the Lake Como area, entered the Master's joy on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Lake Como Church of Christ, Brother Bryan D. Moss officiating. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Baker Funeral Home.
He was born June 1, 1919, in Neches. He was a member of American Legion Post 838. He was preceded in death by sons, Henry Sr. and Lewis Golightly III.
Survivors: His devoted and loving wife of 69 years, Bessie Lee Smith Golightly; sons, Leon and Anthony Golightly; daughter, Gennie Winston; brother, Thurnell Golightly; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
