Ms. Joyce Evelyn (Neuman) Holley, Duckworth, age 72, of Moss Point, MS passed away the morning of January 13, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born January 26, 1939 in Beaumont, TX.
Ms. Joyce loved reading and poetry. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Prayer Warrior. Most of all she loved her church family and Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father; Elmer Dossy Neuman, her mother; Cora Mae (Davenport) Pope, a stepmother Sallie Lou Neuman, a stepfather; Lessie Pope, and a brother; Prentiss Alton Neuman.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years; Paul G. Duckworth of Helena, MS, son; Keith (Cheryl) Holley of Flowery Branch, GA, daughters; Duona Dillard of Big Point, MS, and Paula (Steve) Rothenberg of Brasleton, GA, brothers; Elmer Raymond "Sonny" Neuman (Ann Marie) of Orange, TX, Edward Neuman (Terri) of Big Point, MS, a sister; Melva Tompkins of Ponchatula, LA, a step son Dwayne (Barbie) Duckworth of Wade, MS, a step daughter Tena Goellner of Lucedale, MS, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Duckworth will be Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Family Life Church in Moss Point, MS. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
