Victor P. Lerma, 70, who was born in Brownsville, died Thursday in Marine Hospital in Carville, La., after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Lerma was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by one brother, D.F. Lerma of Brownsville and by four sisters, Mrs. Hortencia L. Neale, Mrs. Gertrudis L. Armstrong and Margaret L. Champion, all of Brownsville and Mrs. Pilar L. Mann of Detroit.

Funeral services are pending for Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church with burial in the City Cemetery.

Hinkley Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
