She was born January 23, 1936 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the daughter of the late William and Margueritte King.
She was a former office employee of Harp's and for 20 years was office manager for Woolco, was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church and for 12 years a member of Civil Service, Fort Chaffee.
Carolyn was the widow of the late Jack Carter.
Survivors include her three sons, Mark Carter of Houston, Greg Carter and wife Sharon, Brad Carter and wife Paula all of Fort Smith, sister, Sue Bercher and husband Dick of Paris, TX, four grandchildren, Jacob, Ashley, Britney and Journey.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 17, 2012 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy Fort Smith, AR.
