She was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Lois graduated from Flagstaff High School, while living there.
She met and married her sweetheart, Arthur Eugene Austin, on Dec. 10, 1937. They made their home in Flagstaff until World War II when Arthur went to Italy with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a P-51 pilot.
At the conclusion of the war they moved to Holbrook with their two children, where they operated the Coca-Cola Bottling Company until February 1950 when Arthur lost his life in a tragic airplane accident.
In July 1971, she married Donald Wagner.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed in administration by an insurance agency, a telephone company, Northern Arizona University and Scottsdale Health Care. She enjoyed being with her family, swimming, dancing and supporting all the Arizona sport teams.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Guy) Adair of Holbrook, and son, Dennis (Marjory) Austin of Scottsdale; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur E. Austin; her second husband, Donald Wagner; her parents, Wilmont J. and Vera L. (Reynolds) McCuddin; and one brother, Leo Bob McCuddin.
The family requests that any donations be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley.
