Sarah Jane Bible Weems, 69, of Rader's Sidetrack Road, died Friday morning at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was secretary for Weems Roof Truss Co. and a retired bus driver for Mosheim School and West Greene High School after 29 years of service.

Mrs. Weems was the first female bus driver in the Greene County School System.

She was a member of Brown Springs Baptist Church, where she was a member of the sanctuary choir and was assistant organist.

Mrs. Weems went on short-term mission trips to the Caribbean area for eight years through the Holston Methodist Conference.

Survivors include her twin sister: June Bible Jarrell of Mohawk; two daughters and sons-in-law: Dianne and Jerry Sizemore of Vernonia, Ore., and Pollyanna and Ron Huff of Cullowhee, N.C.; two grandchildren: Phillip Olias Huff and Eliza Spring Raine Huff; one brother and sister-in-law: Glen and Serita Bible of Newport; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Marlene and Dan Ayers of Midway and Bobbie and Jeff Cox of Mosheim; one stepdaughter: Jill Doud, and her husband, Joe Doud, of Mosheim; one stepson: Ken Weems, and his wife, Rene Weems, of Mosheim; stepgrandchildren and their spouses: Jamie and Keith Ailshie, Jonessa Doud, Aaron Weems, and Dakota Weems; one stepgreat-granddaughter: MaKenzie Ailshie; a brother-in-law: Claude B. Weems Jr., and his wife, Janet Weems, of Mosheim; a sister-in-law: Ruth Ricker, and her husband, Hobert Ricker, of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Keel and Eliza Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Weems, who died July 11, 2005; and by one sister: Neva Madron.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Long will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Huff, Ron Huff, Benjie Cox, Barry Jarrell, Lewis Gentry, Joe Madron, Keith Bible and Bryan Weems.
