Jerry Ransom Adair, 62, of Flatwoods, WV, died October 12, 2001, in the Louis A. Johnson Veteran's Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV after a long illness. He was born on March 28, 1939 in Huntington, WV. He was a truck driver and retired from the United States Navy. He was the son of the late Ransom and Veria Belcher Adair.

He is survived by his companion, Sue Lawson of Flatwoods, WV; and one son, Jerry Michael Adair of Parkersburg, WV. Also close to Jerry's heart were Thomas R. Whitt, Raymond Whitt, Jr., Christine Whitt, and Joseph Whitt, all of Michigan; Michael Allen Whitt, Richard Leagon, and Michelle Whitt, all of Burnsville, WV; Glenn J. Whitt, Alisha Marie Lawson, and Jody Ransom Lawson, all of Flatwoods, WV.

Services were held Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Peace, at the Sunset Memory Gardens in Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Herbert Morgan officiating. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home served the Adair family.
