Kerry L. Gottschall, 56, of Kenhorst, died January 14, 2012 at 12:57 PM in the emergency room of the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Jo Ann (Houp) Gottschall. They were married 20 years. Born in West Reading, he was a son of Polly Ann (Lineaweaver) Gottschall of Kenhorst and the late Paul B. Gottschall. He was the owner/ operator of Kerry's Locksmith Service, Kenhorst, for 20 years, last working January 6, 2012. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Kerry was the Deputy Fire Chief of the Kenhorst Fire Company for the past 2 years and a member and firefighter for the past 40 years. He was also a member of Keystone of Shillington, Grill and Lincoln Park Fire Companies. He enjoyed bowling and watching his son play baseball. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Thursday at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Richard H. Andrews officiating. Interment with Fire Department honors in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Viewing Wednesday evening from 6-9 and Thursday 9:30-10 AM at the funeral home.
