Mrs. Emil (Verna) Johnsen, Rt. 2, Denmark, died Friday morning at a Green Bay hospital.
She was born April 12, 1899 in the town of New Denmark, to the late William and Sophie Jensen Nelsen. On Sept. 29, 1920, she married Emil Johnsen, in the Town of New Denmark. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Florian (Loretta) Dworak, Manitowoc; Mrs. John (Bernadine) Vandenbusch, Rt. 1, Whitelaw; three sons, Claude and Quentin, both of Green Bay; Ralph, Rt. 2, Denmark; three brothers, Howard and Hilbert, both of Denmark; Leonard, Wrightstown; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hofer and Louella Weber, both of Milwaukee; Niomi Minderhaut, Denmark; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark after 3 p.m. Sunday. VFW Auxiliary memorial Service 8 p.m. Sunday. Then at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Denmark, from 12 noon Monday until the time of services. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Frank Tobisch officiating. Burial in the West Danish Cemetery.
