BELFAST - Albertina O. "Al" Harford, 81, of Belfast passed away Tuesday, Nov.30, 2004, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Alfonzo and Amelia Kalway. She was a LPN for many years at Bradbury Manor. In her retirement years she delivered the Bangor Daily News with her husband Bill. Al was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother. She enjoyed bird watching, cooking, canning and loved animals. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Bruce L. Keating; two brothers, Maurice Kalway and Albert Newcomb; and a sister, Millie Newcomb. Al is survived by her husband of 39 years, William Harford; 11 children, Phyllis and Tom Brooks of Milford, Bob and Betty Keating of Winterport, Ronnie and Maxine Harford of Belmont,Jerry and Sherlene Harford of Veazie, Marcia Harford of Belfast, Jeff and Janet Harford of Texas, Billy and Pam Harford of California, Edward and Judy Keating of Pennsylvania, Joni and Rich Smith Litchfield, Ethel and Rusty Whitcomb of Belfast and Stephen and Jane Harford of Swanville. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and close family and friends.
Interment will follow at Smart Cemetery, Belfast.
