Elmer was the son of Arthur W Addis and Nora 'Nory' Ball. He was previously married to Sadie Stone and had a least one child, Carl B Addis. Sadie and Elmer divorced. His 1942 WWII draft registration state he was born in Scioto County, OH and lists Lina Jones as his next of kin.
Elmer was a coal miner. Cause of death is listed as a ruptured thoracic aortic aneurysm.
