CALDWELL — Services for Herbert E. Lierman, 86, formerly of Caldwell, who died Friday at Fargo. N.D., will be conducted at 1030 a.m. Tuesday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell by the Rev. Victor A. Schulze of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Parma, and the Rev. Hugh Auw of the Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

He was born July 31, 1889, at Deshler, Neb., and was reared and educated at New York Mills, Minn. He married Helen Brase on March 6, 1918, at Ruskin, Neb., and the couple made their home in Clover. They moved to Emmett in 1934 and then to Nampa in 1938. They moved to Caldwell in 1959. His wife died in Caldwell in 1967. He then moved to Regina, Sask., Canada, in 1967, and then to Moorhead, Minn., In 1972 where he had since resided.

He was a charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Caldwell and a member of the International Lutheran Laymen's League.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Weick of Moorhead, Minn.; four brothers, Henry and Martin, both of Orange, Calif., Arthur of Kimberly, and Carl of Twin Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Prelwitz of Orange, Calif., Mrs. Luella Lowe at Kimberly, and Mrs. Clara Jasper of Jerome; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson, He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

The family suggests memorials to The Lutheran Hour in care of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weick at Moorhead, Minn.
