Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Fayetteville chapel of the Ralston-McCauley Funeral Home for E. F. Duke Jr. of Fayetteville who died Tuesday (Feb 17, 1990) in the Lincoln Regional Hospital following a brief illness. He was 69.
Eugene Peden officiated. Burial followed in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late E.F. and Nannie Noles Duke, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Lizzie Patrick Duke of Fayetteville, a step-daughter, Lois Dean Uhles of Park City; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
