The body of Miss Janie Caldwell Kluttz was bought back to her native Salisbury tonight from Georgia where she died Saturday after a long illness. The funeral is being arranged for Tuesday and interment will be in Chestnut Hill cemetery.

Miss Kluttz, oldest daughter of the late Hon. Theodore F. Kluttz and Mrs. Sallie Caldwell Kluttz, was a special friend of the late Christian Reid, whom she deeply admired. Out of this friendship grew the Christian Reid Book club, named in honor of the novelist. Miss Kluttz was a charter member of the club and its first president. For a time she was a writer for the Salisbury and Charlotte papers. After the death of her parents, she left here to live in Atlanta with her sister, Mrs. Land, the former Miss Kathleen Kluttz.

Survivors, besides Mrs. Land, are two brothers, Theodore F. Kluttz and Whitehead Kluttz of Washington, and two nieces, Miss Mary Caldwell Kluttz of Washington and Mrs. Charles O. Ward of Salisbury.
