Richard Rodzinski, age 83, of Frankford, DE formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at his home.
Richard retired as a Platoon Sergeant in the United States Army after 20 years of service. After his retirement from the Army, he then worked as the Food Service Director at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Hilda (Brown) Rodzinski; a son, Richard Rodzinski, Jr. of Ocean View, DE; three daughters, Linda Rodzinski of Glen Burnie, MD, Marcia Rickert and her husband John of Arnold, MD and Sandra Smith and her husband Kenneth of Federalsburg, MD. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Natalie Rickert, Colleen Rickert, Caitlin Smith and Christopher Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 19, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family may call after 12 noon. Interment will follow with military honors at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
