Mabel C. Peters, 91

of Mineral Springs died on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at Marion Manor II in Curwensville.

She was born on April 2, 1911 in Woodland RD, a daughter of the late Theodore Maines and Blanche (Bumbarger) Maines Young.

Mrs. Peters was employed for nineteen years at the former Clear Haven Nursing Home and the County Home. She was also employed at the former Airplane Marine and McGregor Sportswear.
She was a member of the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County and the former Bradford Grange.

She is survived by a grandson,
John G. Peters and wife Debra Clearfield

two sisters,
Almeda Sibers Longview, WA
Gladys Maines Woodland RD

and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Peters on December 30, 1968 and whom she married January 26, 1927 in Mineral Springs, two daughters Shirley Peters and Hilda M. Peters, three sisters Viola Rowles, Oma Logan, Isabelle Young, four brothers Matthew A. Maines, Theodore Maines, Jr., Raymond W. Maines and Merlin Graham and a foster brother LeRoy Young.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
1:00 PM with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from
2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM and on Wednesday from 12 – 1:00 PM.
