Mrs. Annie E. Trone former resident of Montrose, who would have been 90 years of age Saturday, died Tuesday evening at th M. G. Hull home, North Seventh where she had resided for the past six years. (1938)
The Kinsey funeral home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral service, which will be announce later.
Annie E. Patterson was born Sept. 30, 1854 in Missouri, and she went to Oswego, Kan., when she was a young woman. She was married at Oswego to George W. Trone Dec. 15, 1870.
Mr. and Mrs. Trone resided in the Paradox valley for a number of years when it was being opened up. Mr. Trone carried the mail from Naturita to the valley. They moved to the Montrose community about 40 years ago. (1904)
Mr. Trone operated a ranch near Montrose until his death 22 years ago, after which Mrs. Trone moved to Grand Junction to reside.
Survivors include three sons, Jess, Denver, Will, Delta, and Lee, Norwood, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, Two sons and a daughter preceded their mother in death. (Her parents and siblings are not mentioned in the obituary.)
Mrs. Annie E. Trone, 2 p.m. Friday at the Kinsey chapel, the Rev. A. R. Smith officiating. Interment in Orchard Mesa cemetery. During her stay at the Hull home she found a boyfriend there. His name was Joe Wilkenson. She would dance around and sing, He's my bashful barefoot beau, He's my Joe and I'm his Annie.
