Annie E. Patterson was born Sept. 30, 1854 in Missouri, and she went to Oswego, Kan., when she was a young woman. She was married at Oswego to George W. Trone Dec. 15, 1870.
Mr. and Mrs. Trone resided in the Paradox valley for a number of years when it was being opened up. Mr. Trone carried the mail from Naturita to the valley. They moved to the Montrose community about 40 years ago. (1904)
Mr. Trone operated a ranch near Montrose until his death 22 years ago, after which Mrs. Trone moved to Grand Junction to reside.
Survivors include three sons, Jess, Denver, Will, Delta, and Lee, Norwood, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, Two sons and a daughter preceded their mother in death. (Her parents and siblings are not mentioned in the obituary.)
