Allen Esther M. Green - MRS. ESTHER G. ALLEN DIES IN WASHINGTON
Mrs. Esther Green Allen, wife of Oscar E. Allen, died suddenly Tuesday night at her home in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Allen was born in Connellsville, a daughter of W. D. Green of near Moyer, and the late Mrs. Mary A. Green, and continued to reside here until during the World War, when she left for Washington, D. C., to take up work in the internal revenue department. She was united in marriage about eight years ago to Mr. Allen of Washington.
While a resident of Connellsville she was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by one brother, John A. Green, of near Moyer and one sister, Mrs. S. M. Hebb of Pittsburg, formerly of Connellsville. She was an aunt of Mrs. D. O. Evans of Connellsville and had many friends here.
