His parents are Morgan Clint Farless (1875-1958) and Mary Etta Evans Farless (1888-1977). They are both buried at Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat, Sharp Co., Arkansas.

Ira was born in or near City of Ash Flat, Pleasant Ridge township. His siblings are older sister, Eunice Fern Farless (1908-2003, FAG memorial number 83683793) and younger sister, Mable Corene (1919-2002).

Private First Class, 358th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division, U.S. Army. His unit was not only in World War II. He was a casualty of the Allied Normandy invasion, dying five days after D-Day. I suspect he was awarded a Purple Heart, but don't know yet.
