Mrs. Bertha E. Schrimpf, 100, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Jan 18, 2010 at her home. Bertha was born Sep 18, 1909 in Tebbets, MO, the daughter of Arnold and Emelia C. Helm Meyer. She was married on Sep 18, 1930 in Jefferson City to Ben F. Schrimpf, who preceded her in death on Mar 21, 1987. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Bertha was a 1927 graduate of Jefferson City High School. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, William J. Schrimpf and his wife Susie of Rocky Mount, MO, Jerry Schrimpf and his wife Ann of Jefferson City, Bennie Schrimpf and his wife Sharon of Jefferson City and Thomas Schrimpf and his wife Ginger of California, MO; and one daughter, Judith Wilson of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Barbara Jean Bewig; and one son, Robert Schrimpf. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, Jan 23, 2010 at St. Peter Church with the Msgr. Donald Lammers officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery.
