ALVIN R. ZIEGLER, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES AT PUEBLO
A former resident of Canon City, Alvin Rudolph Ziegler, 61, died of a heart attack in a Pueblo hospital Sunday. He had been in critical condition since the attack occurred August 4.
He came to Colorado when a young man, working at Safeway Stores for a number of years and at the Triplex Corp. in Pueblo. He moved to Pueblo 10 years ago from Canon City.
Mr. Ziegler was born June 30, 1904 in Edwardsville, Ill., to Peter and Jessie Ziegler. He marred Gladys Weeks in Salida in 1960.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Carpenter of Jerome, Ia.; Mrs. Dorothy Higbee of Oxnard, Calif., and Mrs. Doris Snyder of Pueblo, and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are brothers, Herbert and George, both of Hyland, Calif.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Holt-Wilson Chapel of the Garde, the Rev. Lloyd Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery
