LITTLETON - Lillian Frances Glasgow DeLauder Phares, 87, of Silver Springs, MD. formerly of Littleton died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Patriots Colony at Williamsburg, VA.

She came to Williamsburg in October 2004. She was born in Robersonville, on March 19, 1920, to the late Lillian Pepper Glasgow and Hayward L. Glasgow of Littleton. She attended Aurelian Springs High School and graduated in 1940 from Roanoke Rapids High School. She retired on Dec. 31, 1979, with 37 years of service as a Claims Examiner with the U.S. General Accounting Office. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Grand Worthy Matron of Chapter 21, OES. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and member of Hawkins Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Mae Glasgow MacKenzie.

She is survived by three sisters, Amelia G. Dietz of Williamsburg, Elizabeth G. Wilson of Elizabethtown and Jane G. Behnken of Belleair Bluffs, Fla.; one brother, James E. Glasgow of Wilson; three nieces and 10 nephews.

Blaylock Funeral Home in Littleton is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., today, July 30.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
