Pearl Kathryn Bass McCain, age 90, of Orange passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008, in Port Arthur, Texas.
She was born July 4, 1917, in Red Rock to the late W.T. and Myrtle Callaghan Larvin.
Retired from the Austin Police Department, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James R. Bass and E. J. McCain.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Carolyn (Carol) Authement and her husband Jerry of Beaumont; granddaughter, Kelli Zeto of Beaumont; great-granddaughters, Erin Zeto and Lauren Zeto; brother, B. J. Larvin of Austin; step-grandchildren, Steve and Diane Hale, Arlington, Texas, Mike and Debbie Hale of Fort Worth, Texas; step-great-grandchildren, Chris Hale, Kelsey Hale, Jake Hale, Nick Hale.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Chapel of Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Authement, Oscar Ray, Dave Broadway, Frank (Jimmy) Larvin, Tommy Larvin and Bill Larvin. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve and Mike Hale.
