Mary Edna Pope, 82, of 1500 Earl Court, died Friday, February 26, 2010. She was born in Nash County on November 19, 1927 to the late Joseph Vernon Pope and Swannie Wayne Richardson Pope. She graduated from High School and went on to be a bookkeeper with General Parts, Inc. where she worked for 46 years.

Surviving:
Son: Robert D. Pope and wife, Lea Anne of Zebulon
Granddaughters: Jennifer Renee Pope, Taylor Marie Pope
Sister: Gladys Tippett of Benson and Several Nieces and Nephews

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice Flowers and Lorena Williams and brother, William Robert Pope.

The family suggested that contributions be made in her memory to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
