Born April 25, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland
After High school he served in WWII in the US Marine Corp.
He worked until his retirment in 1984 as a Supervisor for BGE. After his retirment he moved to Waynesboro and opened Collins Gun Repair first on North Potomac Street and then he moved it to his current location on W. Main Street where he operated it unitl November 2011.
On November 3, 1984 he married his second wife the late Cornelia M. Coryell
He is survived by a son Charles R. Collins, Jr. of Hanover, Michael Collings, daughters Carol, Peggy and Pamula all residence unknown and many grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by Janice Smith.
A private memorial servcie will be held. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
