LEGACY

A reserved, cool, good hearted guy with an ear for good old Country Western music is how Ernie will be remembered. Ernie was raised in Paulsboro and graduated from Paulsboro High School with his High School Sweetheart, Karen with whom he shared 48 years of married life. Ernie proudly served his country in the United States Navy and following his service time; he and Karen raised three sons whom he coached as they grew up and played football and wrestled . Ernie worked for Mobil Oil which later became Valero for 34 years until his retirement in 2006.

Away from his work, Ernie enjoyed the simple things in life, going to the movies, traveling with his wife, cheering on his beloved Eagles and Penn State Football teams, being his grandchildren's biggest fan at their sporting events but most of all Ernie enjoyed the quality time making great memories with his family that will now become the legacy of this great guy.

Ernie is the beloved husband of Karen S. (nee Schnell); loving father of Richard W. (Nichole), Ernest W. Jr ( Jeanna) and Robert W. Parks; dear brother of Betty, Martin, Billy, Donald, David, Dolly, Linda, Patti and the late Margaret, Stephen, Kenny and Larry;

Cherished grandfather of Gabryelle, Jessica, Robert "Joey", Nick, Sam, Anna and Kylie.
