Daughter of James Arthur and Emma Jane Richards Miller. The family moved to Dinuba, California in February 1907, just prior to Cora's birth. The family was enumrated in rural Kern County, California in the 1910 census. They returned to Wayne county, Illinois in February 1911. Emma died shortly after their arrival, at the home of her brother, Simon Cox Richards. Cora's father was still living as of his WWII draft registration, made in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois - just south of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, where Cora's brother, Benjamin Euil Miller, was residing.

Cora Gladys Miller was enumerated in the 1920 census of Wayne county, Illinois as a boarder, along with her brother, Benjamin Euil Miller. In the 1930 census, Gladys was listed as boarding in St. Louis.

Cora's obituary listed her name as Cora G. Adams, while her SSDI entry listed her as Gladys M. Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Adams, and survived by a son and daughter, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
