Funeral services for Sidney Thomas Ashcraft, age 89, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Reverends Mike Howard and Gary Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in the Concord Community northwest of Oak Grove.
Mr. Ashcraft died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa V. Ashcraft; his parents, Haley Calvin Ashcrafi and Iva Myrtle Williams Ashcraft; 2 brothers, Troy Issac Ashcraft and: Roy Lee Ashcraft; 2 sisters, Audrey Loraine Hughes and Vera Mae Janes.
He is survived by 3 sons and daughters.in-law; Gerald and Barbara Ashcraft of Neola, Utah; Thomas and Janice Ashcraft of Oak Grove; and Ronald and Daisy Ashcraft of Oak Grove. He is also survived by 9 grand children, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Larry White, Phil White, Enos Wicker, Zane Tubbs, Jeff Compton, and David Ratcliff.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2007 between the hours of 12 noon until 9:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
