Shirlee Mary Smigelsky, 85, of Vancouver
passed away Nov.22,2011, at the Guardian
Angel adult care ficility in Vancouver.
She was born Jan.13,1926, in Duluth, Minn.,
to Edward and Nellie (Sorvick) Wilkin and
attended Duluth schools. On Aug,20,1944,
she married George Smigelsky in New Jersey.
He pereceded her in death in 1979. Shirlee
was a factory worker in Oregon. She lived
in Kalama from 2004 to 2008. Shirlee
enjoyed crocheting, reading, trips to Reno,
bingo and was a seamstress extaordinaire.
Shirlee was bighearted and loved holidays
and her grandchildren. In addition to her
husband, George, Shirlee was preceded in
death by a son, George Jr., and a brother,
Edward, both in 2010. Survivors include a
daughter, Patty Bourdage(Walt) of Kalama;
two sisters, Betty Norldling of Milwaukie,
Ore., and Virginia LaChance of Leesburg,
Fla; a brother Robert Wilkin (Marion) of
Milwaukie; six grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
