Tonya Benson, 33, of Colorado City and formerly of Snyder, died Thursday
morning at Mitchell County Hospital. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m.
Saturday at the Oak St. Baptist Church with. Dr. Bentley Gwyn officiating. Burial followed in Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Benson was born January 14, 1963 in Holdenville, Okla. and had lived in
Colorado City since 1986. She married Don Benson on February 20, 1990 in
Colorado City. She was a retired clerk for the Texas Highway Dept., a member
of the Eastern Star, the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary and the Oak St.
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Don Benson of Colorado City; one daughter,
Elise Benson of Colorado City; and three sons, Ty Benson of Colorado City,
Robert Benson of Ft. Worth and Russell Benson of Odessa; her parents, Weldon
and LaVonda Foreman of Kerrville; one sister, Christie Canfield of .Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jerry Deatherage and Jeffrey Reeves, both pf Ada,
Oklahoma, and Kenny Foreman of Elk City, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren
morning at Mitchell County Hospital. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m.
