Willard Bernard, 64, of Jamestown, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999 at his daughter's residence in Franklin, Ohio.

He was a chrome plater.

Born in Russell County on Jan. 22, 1935, he was the son of Mary Jane Brown Bernard and Ray Bernard, both of whom preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Effie Turner Bernard of Jamestown; three sons, Willard Bernard, Jr. and Randy Bernard; both of Franklin, Ohio, and Dennis Bernard of Jamestown; three daughters, Ima Faye Turner of Fairborn, Ohio, Mary Sylvia Stull of Franklin, Ohio, and Melissa Swallows of Jamestown; one brother, Clifford Bernard of Jamestown; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, in the chapel of Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. J.L. Skaggs officiating. Special music was provided by Bobby Dunbar.

Pallbearers were Lynn Bernard, Raymond Bernard, Harold Flanagan, Shelby Flanagan, Shawn Stull and Jim Lott.

Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.
