Lawrence O. ‘Larry' Trout

Lawrence O. "Larry" Trout, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Sebring, Fla., and a former resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Allen County. His parents were William F. and Margaret (Auld) Trout. He married Mary E. (Evans) Trout on Oct. 9, 1937, in Ohio. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara L. Hall and Dianne L. Robison; a brother, James M. Trout; a sister, Avonelle Duell; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Eugene Trout, in 1943; two brothers, W. Elmer Trout and Joseph A. Trout; a sister, Esther Root; and a granddaughter, Debbie A. Jackson, in 2000.

He was employed by Indianapolis Transit as a bus driver for 39 years, retiring in 1977.

He was a member of Sebring Christian Church. He served as treasurer of the FMO for several years and enjoyed traveling, photography and biking.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
