Mary Petra Brown, loving mother and friend was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by those who loved her.
Mary was the first born child of Gaspar and Carlota Zavala. She was born in Santa Ana, CA.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tsing T. Kwok and staff for their many years of outstanding compassion and care of our mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Brown in 1981 and her son Carl Brown in 1978.
She is survived by four brothers and three sisters as well as her children, Geraldine Ruiz, Patrick Brown and his companion Sandy Snow, Sharon Evans and her companion Ted Oberg, Randy Brown and his wife Espy as well as five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
