Even though several researchers seem to think his name was "Drury Nickolas", the census and his death certificate shows his name was "Nathan Drew". Drew being short for "Drury or Andrew". His name was probably "Andrew Nathanial", being called "Drury" as a child then "Drew" as an adult.

Drew 1st married abt. 1863 to Mary unknown born 1845. He, his wife and two children were living with his sister and her two children in the 1870 census.

Drew married on 01 Sep 1870 in Taylor Co GA to Macy Ann Whatley, d/o John William Pope Whatley Sr (1811) & Rebecca Mitchell Whatley (1820).
