EDGERTON - Marie B. Schott, 95, of rural Edgerton, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at the Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, Ind., where she was a resident.
Born Dec. 11, 1909, at Milford Township near Edgerton, she was the daughter of Laura (McKee) and Edward Schott.
A 1927 graduate of Edgerton High School, she had attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Ind., for two years and graduated from Fairview Nursing School in Cleveland in 1948 as a registered nurse. She was employed by Hicksville Community Memorial Hospital and Wauseon Hospital and then by the Veteran Administration Hospital in Dayton from 1956-1981, until her retirement. She was a member of the Edgerton Emanuel Methodist Church.
Surviving are a nephew, Randall Schott of Toledo; two nieces, Norma Schott of Portland, Ore. and Mrs. Ron (Donna) Ehinger of Monroeville, Ind.; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel C. Schott, and a brother, Carmen L. Schott. Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Maurice Bonecutter to officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton.
