Services for Jeanette Carpenter, 60, of Bentonia, who died of a massive stroke Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker. A native of Carroll County, she resided in Yazoo County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Valley High School in Carroll County.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Carpenter Jr. of Bentonia; three sons, Christopher Carpenter, Timothy Carpenter and Andy Carpenter, all of Bentonia; a daughter, Glinda Walton of Bentonia; her mother, Rosa Lee Kerr of Bentonia; two brothers, M.D. Dixon of Texas and Daniel Kerr of Memphis, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

The Rev. Danny Irvin will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery in Morgan City.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Fly, Dion Fly, Buck Roach, Calvin Hood, David Mims, Tom Mays, James Ervin and David Irvin.
