Thomas J. Wolsey, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 9, 1941, in Cape Girardeau to Joseph Nelson and Helen Fay Cora Wolsey.

Thomas graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1961 and attended Vashon Technical School in St. Louis. He was employed by First Student as a bus driver, retiring April 10. He was also a member of the Cherokee Nation.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph P. Wolsey of Cape Girardeau and Dennis M. Wolsey, retired from U.S. Army and of Radcliff, Ky.; a daughter, Donna F. Cleveland of Fort Smith, Ark.; two brothers, Jerry Wolsey of Chaffee, Mo., and Terry Wolsey of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren, Brent Wolsey, Darron Wilkerson, Corey Wolsey, Kaitlyn Wolsey, Erik May, Chris May, Caleb Cleveland and Joseph R. Wolsey

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
