"MEMBER PIONEER FAMILY IS DEAD
Charles H. Sibley, 84, Dies at St. Charles Following Stroke. - Was Drayman Here for Many Years. - Has Relatives in Sycamore.
The many friends and relatives of Charles H. Sibley, a pioneer resident formerly residing east of Sycamore, were saddened this Friday morning when they learned of his death at his present home in St. Charles.
Mr. Sibley died at his home at 5 a.m. this Friday morning. Several days ago he suffered a stroke and had been critically ill since. He was 84 years of age.
His birthplace was St. Charles where he resided for a few years before coming to Sycamore. He lived at Mount Hunger, east of Sycamore, and then in Sycamore for many years. His occupation at that time was a drayman. Several years ago he again moved, removing to his former home in St. Charles.
In 1873 he was united in marriage to Miss Millie Hartgrove in Iowa. She survives her husband. With her are two sisters and one brother, Maud Parker, of Chicago, Grace Godfrey of Burlington, Ill., and Fred of Sycamore.
The funeral services will be held at the late residence in St. Charles at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the St. Charles cemetery."
