Taft, Calif. — DARLENE JENKINS 1930 - 2011 A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. for longtime Taft resident, Darlene E. Jenkins, 81. Pastor Rodney Wikoff, of West Hills Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Fellows, just four miles west of Taft on the St. Lawrence Lease, on March 18, 1930 and passed away in Taft on September 23, 2011. She has lived in her Taft home on 10th Street for the last 62 years.. She enjoyed camping and traveling to see her grandchildren and also enjoyed her church friends and her pastor, Rodney Wikoff and his family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eunice Howell, in 2004 and her son, Troy, in 1983. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her husband of 64 years, Loren "Bill" Jenkins; her son and his wife, Floyd and Mary Jenkins; grandchildren, Tammy Comb and her husband, Jim, and Richard Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Jack Comb, Michael Comb and Devyen Jenkins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 9;00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. www.EricksonAndBrown.com
