Former Professor in Dentistry Victim of Paralysis
Dr. John C. Uhler, former professor of dentistry at the University of Maryland, died late last night at his home, [unreadable] Madison avenue, from a paralytic stroke following an illness of five weeks. He was 71 years old.
Graduating from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery before he was 21 years old, Dr. Uhler took a course in combined medicine and dentistry. He was one of the organizers of the dental school of the Maryland University, retiring four years ago because of ill health. At the same time he discontinued his practice of dentistry. Born in Baltimore, he attended the local public schools and was graduated from the City College. He was unmarried and is survived by two nieces, Mrs. L. F. Croswell and Mrs. John A. Watts, both of this city. He was a prominent member of the Catholic Club

Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church this Saturday December 22 at 9 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment (private) in Greenmount Cemetery.
