Ethel Agatha Johnson Pedersen 1922 ~ 2005 MIDWAY, UT - Ethel Agatha Johnson Pedersen passed away from natural causes December 2, 2005, at the age of 83 in Heber, Utah. Ethel was born January 18, 1922 to Bertrand Wallace Johnson (Budd) and Hazel Hales Johnson in Park City, Utah. She grew up in Park City and lived there until 1981 when she and her husband moved to Midway, Utah. Ethel married Alma Henry Pedersen Jr. December 1, 1945 in Park City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple December 11, 1964. They had three children. Ethel joined the Woman's Army Corp (WAC) during World War II. She was al-ways proud of her country and was proud to have served in the WAC. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings during her lifetime including Primary teacher, Relief Society president, Sunday School secretary. She also enjoyed singing in the ward choir and did so for many years. She served as a German extractor for many years which she greatly enjoyed doing. She worked for the School Lunch in Park City for many years and later worked at the Treasure Mountain Resort. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Russ) Hogge, West Jordan, Patricia (Randy) Wareham, Kearns, and Edward (Lora) Pedersen, Vernal, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Edythe Rasband and Eleanor Nelsen of Heber, Utah. She is preceded in death by her husband, one great-grand daughter, parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wed. in the Midway First Ward at 200 So. 250 East, Midway, Utah. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Tues. at the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North, Main Street, Heber, Utah and one hour prior to services at the Midway First Ward. Interment, Heber City Cemetery with military honors. We would like to thank the staff at the Beehive Horne in Heber and Vista Care Hospice and Dr. Greg Taylor for all their help and care during the last years of Ethel's life. We would also like to thank the Midway 1st Ward members and Reed Bezzant for all their help and support over the last few years.
