Amy Pearl Shively, 88, of Clearfield, PA died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Born July 31, 1915 in Clearfield she was the daughter of Wilmer J. and Louella (McQuillen) Mitchell.
She had been employed by the Progressive Publishing Company and then retired after 17 years of service from the Clearfield Borough Tax Office.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Clearfield Business and Professional Women's Club for over 30 years.
She is survived by eight children Max Shively of Boca Raton, FL, Robert Shively of Clearfield, Thomas Shively of Punxsutawney, PA, John Shively of Bloomsburg, PA, Susan Lloyd of Mesa, AZ, Mary Jo Byers of State College, PA, Clara Lou Veres of Morrisdale, PA and Charles "Toby" Shively of Eufaula, AL, 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester W. Shively in 1982, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Rev. Thomas R. Searfoss officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
The family suggests that contributions be made to Clearfield Art's Studio Theatre, P.O. Box 613, Clearfield, PA 16830.
