He was a school teacher and later a farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church which he helped build at Delta, Il. He was survived by his widow, Susie Caldwell Vick; 3 sons, Russell C. Vick of McClure, Il., Lawrence K. Vick of Chicago,Il., and J. Henry Vick Jr., of Riverdale, Il; 1 daughter, Edith E. Vick Robison of Cheverly, Md. One sister, Ida Vick Whitaker of Miller City, Il., seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Delta, Il. Crain-Norris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Dongola, Il.
