William Albert Frankenburger was known as "Biilly" and died a tragic death when the B-29 bomber he was a gunner in hit a snow covered hill shortly after takeoff from the Great Falls Air Base. His grave marker shows the correct date of birth, month and day of death, but incorrect year. His enlistment date was 20 Mar 1946, at the end of WWII. His mother's maiden name was Margaret Helen Cunningham Wright who passed away on 23 Dec 1983. She was cremated and her ashes were strewn in the Pacific Ocean on Memorial Day 1984 or 85 from the Kingfisher, a historically listed vessel that led the Fleet of Flowers.
