Carr--Services will be Friday for Webster R. Carr, 74, of Rt 2, New Carlisle, who died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital after a four month illness.
He was born Nov. 10, 1896 in St Joseph County. He had lived the area all his life.
He was a teacher and principal in New Carlisle, Rolling Prairie, and South Bend for 43 years.
He married Inez Wykoff Sept. 14, 1919 in La Porte County, Indiana. She survives with a son James William of New Carlisle, two daughters, Mrs. Virginia NonArx, of Mareta GA., Mrs. Anaveve Amen of New Carlisle, 15 grandchildren, a brother, George H., oh Mobile, AL., and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Robinson and Mrs. Mary Clendenen, both of New Carlisle.
Fienda may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m., Thursday at H. C. Amen and Son Funeral Home in New Carlisle. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Methodist Church, Rev. James Russell, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Terre Coupee Lodge F. & A.M…
The family request that memorials be sent to the United Methodist Church. The Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home of South Bend is helping with arrangements.
